4B12 Throttle body
4B12 Throttle body
I was looking into using a new set of aftermarket GSC S2 Camshafts for an Evo X on my NA 4B12 5MT, but I'm wondering if increasing the diameter of the throttle body would also lead to more power as well. (and yes, I AM planning on getting valve springs and retainers as well)
I know the stock throttle body is a 57mm, and I've heard of people using 62mm and even higher, but I'm not sure that such an oversizing is really necessary.
In terms of power, I'm looking at making around 200 to the crank, maybe to the wheel if possible.
the only other mods i have are a high-flow Cat, Cat-back exhaust, and intake system which increases the diameter of the intake piping from the filter to the throttle body (currently not installed due to lean issues and no tune)
any information is greatly appreciated

If you have a CJ from 2008 onwards a quick search revealed this

However
Before you go nuts and do anything like this there's much more to do done before hand , start with data logger to see what's happening under the bonnet.
Enjoy
