Anyone tried reading Lancer Generation X 1.5 / 1.8 (MH8106F / MH8104F) with PCMFlash

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working with Mitsubishi Lancer Generation X 1.5L and 1.8L models, which were released mainly in Costa Rica and other Latin American markets.
These vehicles use ECUs MH8106F and MH8104F, which unfortunately are not officially supported by ECUFlash definitions.

However, PCMFlash module #79 (Mitsubishi CAN-Bus) can successfully read and write these ECUs.

My plan is to:
  1. Read the full binary using PCMFlash (module 79).
  2. Create a custom XML definition file for ECUFlash based on the maps identified in WinOLS.
  3. Edit the calibration in ECUFlash using that XML definition.
  4. Finally, write the modified BIN back to the ECU using PCMFlash (with checksum correction enabled).
Has anyone here already done it this way — reading with PCMFlash and writing back after editing with ECUFlash?
Any tips regarding checksum handling, map offsets, or address alignment between PCMFlash and ECUFlash would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
