last time I checked, when a large company goes bankrupt, someone buys it out. We'll see.

 

That's weird... just heard a few days ago from a friend that someone bought out Mitsubishi. I didn't believe it though. Who knows.

they might get picked up by an american car co. like chrysler, which may be good or bad depending on what the co. wants out of mitsu

 

DaimlerChrysler is selling their portion of mitsubishi as soon as they can. They have enough problems of their own and dont want to sink any more money into them.

 

Holy repost, batman!! This has been discussed to death in other threads where it appears that DC is selling their shares, and Mitsu inc (all of the non-automotive Mitsubishis--the industrial and electronic and what have you) will be picking up the slack.

 

Chrysler owns mitsubishi, if u look under the hood of the the chryslers you will mitsu logos and even some mitsu engines. i don't know about the bankrupt thing i pretty sure it would be on the news if they did.

is possible.. mitsubishi motors may go bankrupt.. but never mitsubishi the corporation.. they are SOOO big in japan for electronics.

 

If it happens......EVOS would be cheaper..lol. And other Mitsubishi vehicles.

 

Chrysler does NOT own Mitsubishi, they currently hold a 36.7% stake in the company. Yes, mitsu engines are used in many DC vehicles, but that's for cost reasons.

 

Skidd: I think that you might have miss heard a press release. It was talking about how Chrysler is getting rid of shares with mitsubishi because they are a big enogh company now and they can mannage on their own. Currently Mitsubishi is looking to build cars for other companies (you know like what they did for the stealth and talon) such as GM. I will try and find the artical about this and post the link
