oil pressure gauge

I did a search but not really find what i am looking for. I need to know where on my lancer i hook up the sending unit for my oil pressure gauge? I bought an autometer.. The place where i bought it said it should be a direct fit. Also i was readfing something about using a tee fitting so you can keep the dummy light working and so the computer does not get all screwed up.

don't use a tee.. you will run into problems later

use a length of steel braided hose and put the tee on the firewall.. and run your stock and your new sensor that way

Exactly what sillypuddy said. I did some searching on this online a while ago when I was considering putting in gauges. If you put a T fitting right on the engine, you run a high risk of part of the T breaking off and going into the engine. The other way, the T is not subject to the stresses of engine vibration.
