I finally figured out why I hate the grill on the US Lancer so much. It reminds me of THIS:

 

Opus, you are so right!! Thats why when I get a chance I am changing it!!!

 

I didn't like the chrome on the Lancer's grill that is why I painted mine flat black. It looks so much better now.

 

im waiting for RRM's evo style grill -- can't wait to see what it looks like - - - - - but until then, i'll have to put up with my tractor grill . . .

 

why put up with it? when, with about 2 to 3 hours of time and about $20 you can make your grill look like this...

 

Gotta admit', it's alot better than the factory grill.

At any rate, with the way things are going with Mitsubishis it won't be long before they're in a three way infringement suit with Pontiac and BMW for the split grill design.

RRM grill they have now looks good and the other one they are making should be sweet too. Not buying some JDM grill from Japan for $350+. The front grill is what gives any car character.
