Check the thread I linked to that's specifically about the electrical problem. I tried with stock ECU. Same thing happened (nothing). I've also had the AEM's EEPROM crap out on me before so I know what it's like. I still would have lights if that were the only problem.

From my understanding... not true. All head bolts are torque to yield... so you should NEVER reuse ANY of them... and considering it is only about 100 bucks for a full set of ARP studs I wouldn't be risking another gasket and tear down over that!
====================

Well, some DSM-ers change their heads 2-3 times w/ ARP bolts. I'm not saying it being bias favoring DSM-er, because they consider me as outsider to them.

Just because they do it, doesn't mean you should! LOL But I follow what you are saying! In all technicality if you can measure bolt stretch you can accurately determine what you need to do... so

Andrew... I realized after I posted that there was a lot more info in the other thread.. I'll try to read through it tonight.... I'm an EE by trade, so I hope I'm worth my salt!

Preciate it. I've gotten a lot of info, but it's hard for me to try everything with such limited free time.

I get to look forward to all that when my car goes back together this spring... but I'm also rewiring the whole bay most likely as I happen to run a standalone on the car... don't even need the ecu (except that I like my dome light and speedo ). So it'll be interesting to see how it comes out, and how many problems I have to trace!

One thing you might encounter in the long run as your car ages . . . it's happening to the mirages from the 1.5 to 1.8 liter . . . the circuit paper on the back of the gauge cluster (don't know if Mitsu reused the technology) will "suddenly" have a break in connection. Basically, you'll be running an erratic working or dead cluster.

The cause varies from being a stocker driven by a girl to guys starting to attach AFC's (myself included with two other guys) to their cars. We can't pinpoint the exact cause of such breakage.

Something to look for in the future as the lancer start to age beyond 3 years. I don't know any such problems w/ the modern eclipses or galants.
