Question Question about Lancer ES

Greetings EvolutionM.net. I have frequently came here to find the latest information, specs, and photos of member's Mitsubishi Lancers. Well, this weekend (possibly), my parents will be going out with me to search for a Lancer under $15,000. Before we leave, I would like to know the following to help base my decision for my first car, and please honest towards me, I'm still a large Lancer fan

- Would you recommend the 2002 Lancer ES as a first car for someone like me? I don't intend to use much speed, or show the car as my own High School showcase, I'd just like it for getting around from my job, school, and etc..
- Where can I go to complete my car with add-ons like the sweet spoilers, hood details, sunroofs, etc..?
- Is there any advice you'd like to give for someone like me once using the car (I do understand and know that I am going to have to break it in).

I'm not too literate on car terms, but if the actual facts are given to me, I am willing to find them out myself.

Thanks for your time in advance. Your time and consideration is greatly accepted.

I think the Lancer is a great car. It'll def. get you from point A to point B. Companies are slowly making aftermarket parts for the Lancer so maybe next year we'll get more parts. But its a great car, havent had any problems with mine.

I like my little econobox damn it. Great mileage, good torque for lunging around in city traffic, and enough room for well...everything so far (I don't exactly tote around Christmas trees).

It's a superb economy car with the chassis of a mini sherman tank. Yeah it's heavy and a bit bloated perhaps in the curb weight department, but the 2.0 as noted earlier is tuned for great torque.

When underway, it essentially feels like you're driving a midsize sedan when it rolls down the road...minimal noise, vibration (except from my stock Goodyear LS's), and harshness levels.

I think it's a Japetta, a japanese interpretation of a VW jetta

Plus as the aftermarket continues to come up with some nice pieces, you have the option of keeping it as stock or making it as wild as your wallet can afford.

You won't regret it...good luck

Great, because my first choice was a VW Jetta, until I found the Lancer's potential.
