For the FI guys, where have you been getting the power, ground, and illumination sources from? The radio area? If so, which wires are what color?

 

I actually tap right into the fuse panel for power. From the fuse panel if you look up and to the left (on the wall of the car under the dash) there is a factory ground for grounding. I usually tap my gauges on the 7.5 fuse for the gauge lights; so they come on with the gauges. On the gauge the black wire will allways be the ground, the other is power. If it has three wires black will be power, while white is usual constant power, and a third color for switched power (but most gauges only have two; at least most of the ones I've installed).
