Ignition wire
Anyone know if there is an ignition wire under the shifter? I am installing Prosport Gauges and have ran all the wires to where the cigarette lighter is, but I need to find a true ignition wire.

Just a constant power source. I was hoping for one to tap into next to the cig lighter, but after thinking about it I think the closest one is going to be on the radio.
well sence your adding guages go the the auto parts store and get a fuse tap that what i use and there is extra spots in the fuse board to do so makes it really easy and clean ill try to get a pic to show you.
and you mean a ignition switched power source right??
got it . here ya go

If you're looking for switched ignition/power... I would go to the ignition harness at the ignition cylinder/key barrel.
If you're looking for constant 12v I would go either ignition harness or direct to battery.
In either case make sure you fuse you're line.
I wouldn't suggest picking up power from the radio, cigarette lighter or any other source in the vehicle because those lines are already rated/fused for certain amperage and aren't designed to take the load of much more. Depending on how many guages you are installing and how many amps they draw... ignition cylinder is where I'd go.
Ignition Harness wiring:
12V constant = White (40A)
Ignition = Black/White
Accessory1 = Blue/Black
Accessory2 = Blue/White
Hope this helps,
Nick
