okay, any help would be appreciated..

my after market deck has the following wires on the back...

the lancer wiring diagram in the shop manual descibes the following...

- power constant is a (red blue wire)
- power ignition is a (blue yellow wire)

i have done an exstenive search and i am now reading that i do not have to use the ground wire because the deck grounds itself by being bolted to the car.

so what would some one connect to the - front ecu taillihgt relay (green white wire) and the rheostat (black yellow wire)

if your harness doesnt have the same wires as what comes from back of deck you dont use it so just electrical tape the ends of them and tie them together out of the way. to hook up your deck to existing harness u just use the power(constant),acessorie(ignition), speaker front/back/left/right
if your first time just take your time and make the wiring neet and make sure the wires are connected together tightly

or for 10 bucks you can get a wiring harness that clips in to your cars wiring harness and you dont have to butcher your cars stock wiring.
and it has instructions

i would have gotten a wiring harness, makes for an easier installation that way you can put your factory radio back in if you sell the car

mitsu's dont have grounds, so ground it to a bolt.

illumination- no one needs that crap anyways, same with the dimmer
