lol ok so yeah, theres hope for our lancer, i've always said its slow...

however last nite i raced my friend in his v6 auto 98 mustang, when they only had 150 hp, and i had him til 40 than he started to catch up and pass me...stupid top end of the lancer.

he swore so many times he'd WHOOOOOP me etc etc....and yeah it was awesome. his excuse was he 'spun' the tires on the launch...psssh lol, i did to...well i chirped em.

BUT...BUT...my girlfriend has an 01 mustang v6 5spd and she kills me....at 45 mph shes 2~ car lenghts ahead of me...so i lose to my girlfriend....

lol k im done....wait for the **** mods to move my thread, haha j/k

beating that mustang is really no big deal, you can do that stock.

just my opinion. they are ugly and gas-guzzlers and the redneck sportscar of choice. and unless you plan on putting more money into than you did the lancer it will be slow.

Well if you check out our new Auto Assassins video in another thread, the Jetta in there I killed racing. He is stick and I'm auto.

Autos are a lot slower though. My friend in that vid, he has stick Lancer and just exhaust.. me exhaust,header,intake,magnecor wires and he still kills me in racing. It is the launch though, I keep up with him from a roll.

 

base jettas are slow as snot. when i was NA stock i beat an auto lancer with intake and exhaust.

 

Yep! Jettas are 2.0L also though.

 

they have less horsepower than us and weigh a few 100 more lbs.
