do you have a testpipe? if not its prob your cat. i had the rrm header and a 2.5 buscher exhaust and i had the same prob, got a test pipe and it was all goood. my exhaust is loud as **** but what you gonna do. a high flow cat would do the same. i looked at my cat before and it was a solid mass of foam and then i looked at it after i got my header and it had a small ray of light going through the center. lol. too much air too fast for it i guess.

edit: i thought it was my sway bar too and i wrapped that part of the exhaust with heat tape and still heard the noise.

i have the exact same setup you have bro. the only time my exhaust pops is when i first start my car (cold motor). after driving around for a couple minutes, it dosent pop at all no matter how hard i drive it. as far as noise/rattling, just make sure everything is bolted up correctly, nice and tight.

If you get a muffler or a catback, you don't really need to reset the ECU. If you get a header, high flow cat, and/or test pipe, you'll need to reset it.
