Recommend octane for lancer OZ is 87. How would it affect my car to change the octane to a higher one?

 

Won't make any difference. The car's ECU was designed for 87 octane so putting more won't help out in any way.

If you begin to heavily mod your car, then that could change, but it will take more than just bolt-ons to get to that level.
