Question from a noob
Question from a noob
First off i want to say hello to you all, i've owned my 2002 OZ since July and am in love with it, i've done neons and a nice sound system but nothing engine wise yet untill the warrenty wears out, but with your all's help i think i'll do ok on the mods.
My question is this, is it just me or whenever you turn on the front defroster does the AC kick on as well, not to blow cold air through the vents, just for some other stupid reason. Every time i hit my defrosters it sounds like the AC system kicks on and i get the wonderous HP loss.
Thanks for your time befor hand, see you all in the forums.
PS, anyone in the Kansas City area leave me a message, i see a couple lancers buzzing around but can't talk to you!

Welcome. By the time you're ready to start doing some mods under the hood, there will be even more stuff to choose from, so no biggie.
About your defroster question...Read the owners manual or RTFM as they say.
The A/C comes on automatically with the air selector dial in the defrost or the combo defrost/floor position to dehumidify and remove moisture from the air. This very dry air coming out of your vents is what helps get rid of moisture on the glass.
