Brake Upgrade Path

I'm interested in upgrading the brakes for my OZ. I know someone else out there has already done so and I was wondering of course what parts you got, how you feel about the upgrade, and where you got them. Pics would also be nice if you have them. Thanks guys!

Are you looking to upgrade from stock to performance parts, or looking for something along the lines of a big brake upgrade kit?

RPW has rear wheel disc kits.
RRM, RPW, and Tire Rack all have slotted front rotors.
RMR has Wilwood front big brake kits.
RRM has Axxis and Porterfeld pads for stock discs.
RMR and RRM have stainless steel brake lines.

RPW (http://www.rpw.com.au)
RRM (http://www.roadracemotorsports.com)
Tire Rack (http://www.tirerack.com)
RMR (http://www.rmrproducts.com)

Those are your options, at least most of them. Search for those names and you'll find people who have them. Off the top of my head, Kontradictions has a custom rear disc kit, HobieKopek has the Willwood kit, and lots of people have upgraded pads, front discs, and/or brake lines.

Well since I'm not looking to buy new wheels, which you need to buy the big brake kit, what would you say is the best path to follow?

slotted rotors with the portfield pads would be great if your not looking to change your wheels.

What ^^^ said. Those Brembo slotted rotors are coated too, so you won't have to worry about rust.

I'd go for the Brembo slotted rotors from Tire Rack and the Axxis pads from RRM, unless you can keep the Porterfelds heated up and don't mind replacing them more often.

I would avoid rear-disc kits unless you're also willing to upgrade the front brakes. Discs would be stronger in the rear than the stock drums and could cause an imbalance that would make your rears lock up before your fronts. Ideally, all 4 wheels will lock up at the same time, but at least if the fronts lock up before the rears, you can maintain control. So unless you get the Wilwood front kit, don't upgrade the rears and just make the fronts grippier.
