High Flow Cat or RRM Test Pipe

Hey all, I just installed the rrm header today and it sounds pretty good. Anyway im thinking about getting rid of my cat and I want to go with either the RRM test pipe or maybe a high flow magnaflow converter. Can anyone give me some insight on both these products, like which will keep my car quieter and better gains.

cat

The high flow cat will keep you car quieter, and let it still be legal.

High flow cats, don't really restrict that much air.

I am actualyl thinking about testing a high flow cat vs. a straight pipe to actually see the volumetric pressure difference between the two.

I prefer high flow. Keeps the stink down aside from the minimal difference in restriction and the volume issues.

Yea I've decided to go with the Magnaflow Stainless Steel Converter. What measurements should i get. They have the 4"x7"x12" overall 16" and the 4"x 5 1/8" x 9" overall 13".

has anyone had a problem with the test pipe settng off the check engine light? i heard something about that being an issue and i was not sure if it was hearsay or not. i'm a little concerned about passing inspection w/ test pipe if i were to install it.

How loud would it be if I had headers with my magnaflow cat-back system? I was going to get headers but didn't know how it would sound. And how would I make it not as loud if I bought headers?

touching anything with that converter or around that converter and it will be illegal, its just if the police can catch on...

If you're looking for noise and occasional CO poisoning during your commute- test pipe
If you're looking for power- keep the stock cat until you get a big turbo setup. little, low power NA engines don't like to be "wide open". . . . . putting my catalytic back in the exhaust system is the best mod I've done so far
