How to get rid of this part?

I think this part is so ugly and I want to replace it. What do I need to do?

lol just remove it... stopping is key around here. But isn't that the caliper or something? If I get the part name it'll be easier to know what I need to do.

That's your caliper. I hope you don't like stopping.

Are you complaining about the design of the single piston calipers? Upgrade brakes, paint em, or learn to cope.

Does brembo make calipers? I'm definitely getting the slotted rotors and the Axxis pads, but I didn't know they made calipers too.

Since you guys said painting looks good, do any of you have pics of your paint jobs? I'd love to see what you've done!

do you want it to not be visible or do you want it to look nicer? id say just paint it black or silver, not some crazy color like red, blue, or yelllow like some ppl do.

yes brembo makes calipers, they are the stock performance ones on the evo. if you want them be prepared to shell out a lot.

I painted mine black so they dont stand out like a big mole on a white guy. They look good. No pictures right now. You will find that most people went with the Mole on the white guy approach by painting theirs yellow and/or red to match their cars.

To each their own Right.

I didn't paint mine. I have a set of Wilwoods just aching to be put on. Maybe I'll do that today since my timing belt is still being a *****.

I just don't want it to look so bad. It's a nasty looking grey and it looks weather-worn.

I know there is at least 1 peron on the forums that has the brembo's off an evo on his lancer... I wish I could remember his name however.

Ok so I guess I'll paint them when I replace the rotors and the pads.

Any brand of paint work very well for the rest of you?
