I went down to a local mitsu dealer in sj today to drive a ralliart. I told the guy I was gonna trade me 03 oz rally in and he offered me some numbers. The guy was giving me 287 a month for 72 months with 2000 down and he was going to pay 6000 off to my dad as that is how much i owe him for my lancer. He said i could sell my lancer privately for like 9-10grand and put that on one of my payments reducing me down to like 36-37 payments. What do you guys think good deal? btw My lancer is paid off and has about 19k miles how much do you think i could get for it?

Normally a domestic car depreciates 35% a year and imports around 20%, but it being a Mitsu getting a bad rap lately 25-30% off is reasonable.

The dude is trying to rip you off, the OZ is still good for $11,999-12,999us with your kind or milage and TLC given to your ride.

 

Well my opinion would be try to get as much out of your OZ as you can. Yeah I agree with EdT that the dealer is not giving you what you deserve for it. Even if you have to sell it privately, more of what your car is worth is going to help you purchase the Ralliart so...good luck!
