I have a neon light that is supposed to be connected to the cigarette lighter. I wanna rewire it. What i wanna do is I want this neon light to come on when the instrumental panel lights turn on.

not hard find somone in ur area that does it if ur located in new jersey i can help ya out. iv done it many time to help friends out sometimes puttn it on a swith would be easier.. also i drive a evo the instrument panel is allways on when the car is on i dont know if its the same way with a lancer, also id check with local laws to see how much sh*t u could get in for tickets and stuff cuz innew jersey driveing any thing but OEM lights is pritty much illegal. given ya a heads up each ight ticket is about 40 - 60 $ and they can technically give you a ticket per light. depending on how much of an a$$ the cop wants to be, umm few other things but when ya get back to me ill think of them.

 

yes swtich = easy... i have 3 neons in my trunk... (for my subs...) but i cut off the cigerette adapter and too the one with the white like on it (or postive) to the battery and i too the one w/o the white like (or negative) to a nice grounded spot... they are nice... those are street glow tho... i had some trouble when i went to re-wire it.. one end of the wire was hooked up to the postive and the other end swung around and hit the battery... it was kinda sweet, smelled real, real bad, but it starting smoking in like a second flat, then the outter casing turned red and melted to the wiring... burnt my battery a little. but hey, what can you do rite. (i still thought it was the coolest thing ever.)
