So, I just got my evo and as I've pointed out in my other thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=92543 I love it. My one issue though is the wing. It's just not me. I'd love it if I could find someone out there with a silver low profile wing that I can swap out (and some money of course, I'm not giving my CF wing away) so long as the bolt patterns are the same. Can this be done? If so, anyone in the Seattle area want to meet up so we can color match?

Yes all lancer trunks are interchangable, except for 04 ES, LS, Oz, and Ralliart.

 

I have a brand new 2004 OZ wing (in Silver!!)!!!!

Mine is the big CF one that comes on all the Evo 8's. When you wanna meet up, I can meet you half way anytime during the day during the week.

Not to be a downer, but the silvers are not the same. I also looked into this as an option when I first bought my car. Check the paint codes.

 

Ugh, I was worried about that. That's why I wanted to do this with a local person. I'll have to check it out.

 

I too hate the large wing.. but when I purchased my 04 evo the dealer said they would order a factory painted low profile evo wing for my car and that they would install it.. I talked to the service guy today and he said the part should be in to day... As long as the outside holes line up the only thing left to do is hook up the light drill the center hole, and remove the rear window light.. CJ.
PS anyone having visibility issues at night...the wing blocks the headlight and parking light of some cars behind me.... dangerous or what...

 

FWIW my paint code is A31E, if yours is the same, we should match. The paint code is located on a metal plate attached to the center of the firewall under the hood.
