Lancer Intial D style

I was just wondering if an OZ/ES would be able to handle driving up and down steep mountain everyday. Afterall it's only 120hp i dont want to over work it that it would blow off on me ...Also if i would have added the RRM Intercooled Turbo Kit would that eat a lot of gas?

Please pay attention to where you are posting BEFORE you post.

And yes.. it does fine getting up a mountain. I took my skiing in WV once. Snowed the whole way up the mountain. Didn't even hiccup.

I spent the better part of the summer in West VA. The driving conditions were allot of twisties and up hill climbs. In the end the Lancer did great! The car isn't a born hill climber or rally car, unless you mod it, like the Evo but for an econo-box it handled itself very respectfully on those hard roads.

I've driven in the mountains and up passes and stuff many times, it does lose some power at hight elavations, but over all its not too bad. And plus I am driving in the Rocky Mts. where there are some pretty big Mts. but you should be fine.

BAck when I first got my lancer we had to take a trip to Virginia to go to a wedding. It snowed all night up in the mountains, and we were going up hill too, and the little lancer did just fine! we prolly should have stopped to pull over, but the lancer did suprise me, infact there was this honda/acura, i couldnt tell in the snow but i knew b/c of the sound he kept speeding up, then slidding into a mound of snow every time he got infront of us. good stuff...But anyway, it only comes with 120 from the factory, but with some mods u can easily change that...these arent weak cars, there just highley doubted cars

yeah the car turbo'd does great... now that i've taken it back to stock i've actually noticed a decrease in mealage... i was getting about 100 miles before i hit the 3/4 mark from a full tank. Now with it completely stock but aem intake it hit about 80miles. The turbo definately got me up hills and saved on gas until i smashed on it then the gas could go down to about 200 miles a tank rather than 350-375 a tank.

On some big hills i could lock it in cruise at 75 and go right up it passing people all the way.

Boe: Did you also remove any internal mods like the pistons? What's left of your car?

There is nothing wrong with taking your car snow boarding as long as you keep it slow in the snow, and at least in colorado they do a pretty good job keeping the passes clear.
