Lucky bastard. I was nice enough to not call the cops, but whenever I call the guy who rearended me, he avoids me.

Seriously, though - glad to hear you're safe and OK.

Make sure both sides of your trunk floor are looking the same. In other words, no wrinkles in floor.

Have your alignment checked as well as your frame.

If its out of alignment, bill her insurance for it.

If there's even a scratch on the rear fender, call the cops. In WA anything over $600 is legally supposed to be reported, and a new rear fender is WAY more than $600... also check the actual bumper behind the plastic. My brother got rearended in a T-bird and the claims adjuster for the other dude's insurance came out and looked at the metal bumper that's covered by his fender. Since there was a scratch on the bumber and on his frame (scratches mind you) they totalled the car for "frame damage" and he got a payoff check.
I don't mess around anymore man. If you hit my car you're gonna hand over the insurance info and I'm calling the cops. And no, if you hit me you cannot get my insurance info- I'm not gonna let you call my insurance company and file a counter claim because you're a retard. If the cops want proof of insurance, I'll give it to them.

I *almost* got rearended a couple days ago by some old dude in a Mercedes. Cruising along on the highway @80mph, and traffic suddenly STOPS. A second or so after I got my car stopped, I heard tires just howling, and look up to see a black Mercedes growing in my rearview. He must have stopped less than 6" from my back bumper. I couldn't see much of his hood behind me.

I would have thought those things had ABS?
