nope if you take it somewhere else and they mess something up it voids your warranty! My friend took his OZ to a little shop for an oil change and transmission flush and some idiot put them in backwards meaning oil went in tranny and tranny fluid went in oil tank! His car was close to blowing up, but his warranty was voided and now he is just screwed! I had to pay for the service, but I got a 2002 with just over 35000( damn road trips to Minnesota and NC) and around 28000 I just started getting stuff done all along. In June right before we went to NC to see our families, I got that last thing done which was new brake pads and coolant! But that was another thing, I don't have any tools, but some screwdrivers and a socket wrench and it's not even a full set! But yeah I would also say to do what you can and then pay them to do the rest! Good luck!

eh just do it all ur self, everything is stupid simple to do to this lancer

i changed my brakes myself(1st time ever doing it) and anyone with half an arm and a missing leg can change there oil...coolant flush, spark plugs, spark plug wires(if u want) are all easy to do.

u can find anything u need help on in this forum anyways, so look around
