muffler for custom exhaust

Im getting my exhaust made by a friend of mine and i'm trying to find a muffler to fit it. I need the inlet to be 2.5inches and i'd like the tip to be 2.5 - 3inches. I tried greddies site and they dont seem to sell just mufflers, all i can find is their full systems. I found a few Magnaflow's but they are 2.25 inlets or 3inch inlets. Could someone please point me in the right direction.

eBay actually has a good selection of universal mufflers to choose from. For name brands that sell universal mufflers, you can look at Apex'i, HKS, and JIC-Magic to name a few off the top of my head. Check out their websites for applications.

And as far as Magnaflow goes, you can always get the 2.25" and have your shop flare out the inlet of the muffler so it fits 2.5" piping. My friend had that done on his RSX and it sounds and performs great.

Thanks so much for your help dude. About how long is the greddy or magnaflow mufflers for our car, minus the tip? Someone with aftermarket exhaust could you measure please. :-)

The websites should say how long the canisters are.
