DIY Timing Belt
No offense, but if you have to get a DIY done this is not a service you want to do yourself. It's pretty straightforward, but it requires a lot of work. I believe someone (rhyzin) recently said he was thinking of doing a how to on this, but be warned it is not going to be quick/fun even with instructions. That being said, it requires at least the front of the car to be lifted (jack stands or lift preferable) and the passenger side motor mount dropped to allow access to the lower portion of the timing belt. If you can imagine what a PITA that is, you'll see why I say to make sure you know what kind of difficulty this is before you get started.
I know It's an old thread... I'll change my timing belt on my Lancer, I allready do this job in the past on other car. Can somebody can take some picture timing belt without the cover. If I remember, some people have a spare engine.
I know It's a long work to do it and I have an other if I have some problem.
Thanks
