fast...handling
i have a 2002 es. my problem is whenever i go above 90 mph, i feel like im losing control and that my car is like floating. i feel like a single movement on my driving wheel could cause my car to roll. what can i do to prevent this? what do i need to modify?

get your car lowered (use coilovers not springs!) and buy all of those suspension bars from rrm. www.roadracemotorsports.com . AND i suggest you buy new tires. your car shouldnt feel like that at 90 MPH

Upgrade your tires (get high performance z or w rated tires). Make sure your tires are properly balanced and air is to spec. Check your alignment...are they to spec? Upgrade you suspension......coilover if you have the $$$ springs are okay. and if you still have problems w/ front end float after doing the above, consider bumper canards (will create more down force).

Funny reading this. i have an OZ rally. For the first time fianlly i
I got my car past 110 to 115. Let me tell you, what a great ride. No floating or nothing. Handled great. Once that car gets past 100 mph, It is a rocket, even though it tops out at 119 mph.

Yes, I'm serious. And yes, I'm sure I'll get made fun of for saying it.

I got my car up to 120+ only mods I have on my OZ is a custom 2.25 in exhaust line with a apexi N1 exhaust deep sound and gets even deeper in high RPMS! My ride feels real good at 80 and above thats how i got my ticket doin 100 in a 60 I really didn't kno I was doing a 100, get your car dropped and get sway bars, Z rated tires and you should be set for that speed!

Man, might as well get the Mortal Kombat body kit (Complete with the subzero fenders and Scorpion air dam. Don't forget the Cyrax wing!) I'm kidding.
Lancers aren't made for Highspeed wangan style racing. Obey speed laws while you're at it.
If it helps take it out to the track to see what you really need. AutoX-ing works wonders.

I agree with the tire comments. The stock tires on the Lancer are by far the worst tires I have ever driven on, WET OR DRY. My Falken Azenis autocross tires with two little grooves for a tread do better in the rain than the crappy Yokos. I float in California rain if I go over 50 mph. And slip going up steep hills when it's dry and hot on 32 psi. So yeah, get some better tires, I plan on doing that as soon as I can afford it, since I fear for my life driving in this rain on these death shoes!

wow i didnt realize the stock yokos sucked that bad... the eagles for the oz are pretty decent until they get around 60 % or so... then you might as well be driving on slicks as far as im concerned
