RRM CF eyelids install ?

I read the sticky on how to install and all makes sense and is great but i am curious about the black seal on the top of the headlight. there isnt a pic that shows if he slid the lids over it or under or just removed it. so i guess im asking how do you fit the lid so the seal is still functioning.

I took my seal off when I installed my eyelids. It basically just leaves a barely noticable gap between the headlight and the fender.

I think they look better on blacked out headlights since I put the eyelids on a little over a week before I blacked them out, especially on a white car.

i dont have eyelids, but you should be fine without the seal, mine got torn off somehow, but my headlights have maintained keeping water out.
