you guys are really quick to just say "search" around here, i think y'all need to take a second and look for yourself before you assume the OP didn't already search

anyhow, has anyone done this install ? how hard is it to do ?

from what I found searching I see that removing the stock exhaust is the biggest pain, i havn't lived here long and have a pretty empty garage, so i need to know what to go pick up. jack stands? or just drive-up stands ?

Good jack stands that can hold weight with a wide bottom for when you have to pull the hell out of the old nuts. Get some WD40 and soak them for a while and use a big hollow pipe to get some torque on the nuts and take them off. Just don't pull really hard and crooked or you may break the nut off the stud. It's really easy to do. Go to Mitsu's service counter and pick up a couple of gaskets. Pick up the one in between the cat to midpipe, and midpipe to axelback.

cant stress this enough be VERY careful putting the car up. Good solid jack stands are a must and id almost suggest using 6 of them, two at front two at back and two on the sides. When i put the car all the way up i use 6 jack stands and i put blocks under the tires (for them to rest on) some guys would say its overkill but then again ive never had a car fall on me and i know guys who have.

You either:

A) get someone to call 9-1-1 real fast

B) get someone to jack it back up

C) jack it up correctly and use jackstands so that it has no chance of falling because it's safely supported

(I usually use option C.)

Gaskets should come with the kit. If not, take the catback up to Autozone/Pepboys/etc and get a universal gasket that fits the holes.

What Greddy did you get? the EVOII or the SP2 street version?, I have the Greddy EVOII myself, I love it, it is quiet and deep.. I use to have the same one on my WRX also.

As far as the installation goes, it is super simple, it is a true bolt on, I don't remember what whrenches you will need but I think it was a 14mm metric and a 17mm metric.

You don't need to take the car to a shop, you can do it yourself if you have a lift.

It should take you more than 30 minutes. Good luck and enjoy the great product.

if the bolts and nuts are rusted, don't waste your time with WD40, get some PB Blaster on there, and let 'em soak. Apply it very liberally. Greatest stuff for loosening rusted parts

That's what it was!! I couldn't remember the name of it and didn't want to confuse the guy.

I recommend that as well since my neighbor let me use some when I took the axelback off and it ate through that rust. A lot faster than WD40.
