You can do it... I did it. But after a few months the transmission will eat through the piping since the clearance is very minimal. Once you do this, you'll have to move the spillage bottle that is attached to the radiator since it won't fit back into place as it used to. As for the battery replacement to the trunk, that's one way to go, but not really worth it. If it were possible I would relocate the battery EVO style and then do custom piping down to the bumper.

i would agree and go short ... it takes away so many headaches ... easier to clean, no worrying about water getting in ... and the difference is so small you will never notice it ...

CAI will make more power at higher RPMs... not much more but I can notice it in other people's cars. Short ram kicks in at lower RPMs but doesn't pull all the way until redline and will not be as effective if you have been driving for a long time (heat soak). CAI is definately going to weigh more, because it has a longer pipe. The extra weight will make ZERO difference because its not like it weighs 10lbs more.

Get a MAF adapter.
Get a filter.
Get some dryer hose.
Get some hose clamps, too.

Just do it.

(PS - if you really need me to explain more than that, do some research.)
