painting springs

painting springs

so i just got some progress springs and im not a big fan of seafoam, can i paint them but i think it will crack when the spring moves i dont really care if it looks that great but just not seafoam maybe a latex paint?

I wouldnt worry about it. after a few months they will get dirty enough that you wont be able to see the color. I would think that spray paint would crack?

The spary will crack, but I'd do it if my springs were green too... Mine are red, so it works for me.

you think i should sand them with maybe 200 or something like that and use krylon fusion, thats what i have and it seems to be kinda of stretchy, any opinions?

Yeah but thats for plastics and I dont think it would stretch enough. I dont know what to tell you.

Not unless you have big wheels. You can see my rear srings a little but I dont notice them anymore cause they are ditry. If you are on your stock wheels dont worry,

You only can see your springs when you get pretty close to the sheel. I wouldn't worry about it...Dont go thru the trouble of painting it cuz for all you know it might actually make the finish even worse. Maybe you could just grab some of that spray deadening stuff for under the car and just make it black. Its flexible/ more like a tar type tho...
