Does anyone know if the RMM pulley requires smaller belts or will oem belts be fine? I'm trying to help a friend install one on an '02 Lancer right now.

It uses the same belt. The pulley is the same size, but just light weight. Just replace the pulley and put everything back on.

You have an RA. This is for the regular lancers. The belts are the same as well as the size of the pulley. Like has been previously, its just a lighter pulley.

Also, isn't the pully for the RA an under drive pulley?

I got the pulley installed in 30 min. and i didn't even use air tools. just a torque wrench with a 22mm. placed it in 5th and held the brake, came off on my first try. simple as hell son!

RA Pulley uses a different belt. We supply that. THis is the OZ forum so I think he means OZ. That pulley reuses stock belt.

Thanks for helping clear it up guys.

We have sold about a 1000 of them. Everyone seems happy for the money. FYI.

OK, one more question about if it's really worth it or if it makes a difference, I think I will have to lock this thread. I mean come on, the thread is already huge and full of those exact questions.

personally i don't think the pulley is worth the extra cash.
I put on a mirage underdrive pulley, only because i needed to change out my accessory belts anyway and the pulley was only $20.

it works great, but looking back on it, it really hasn't made that much difference. The engine revs faster, and the top end got a very slight gain. But nothing hardcore.

i would only reccomend putting a new pulley in, if you need to change your belts anyway. and even then i wouldn't spend $80 on it. Just go with the mirage pulley for $20 on ebay.

IT makes $179 worth of difference for $79.
