Gauge Explanation Please!
but that's for turbo only right? If I just stick a sensor on this adapter, should i be able to get readings without sending oil in and out of the pan? they are electric gauges by the way
To piggyback on the thread - what would be recommended for a NA setup that is used primarily as a daily driver with some light auto-x on the side (SCCA Solo)?
I have heard some people say that no gauges are needed at all and I have heard others say that it couldn't hurt to have oil pressure, oil temp, and a trans temp. Odds are I will avoid an A/F gauge unless it is a wideband.

tell him why he needs those gauges.
not just a/f, oil pressure.
example :
boost gauge - that way when you are changing boost levels you dont overboost and blow something up. so you can get the pressure your aiming for.

the boost/vaccum, oil temp, oil pressure.
most likely going to A-pillar 3 guage(hard to find RHD). i want to have the boost guage on the steering column with the oil guages (with mostlikey EGT given your recommendations above) on the a pillar.
with a wideband in that lil cubby hole thing under the HVAC controls. im thinking the ZEITRONIX wideband offered by rrm, is what is is recommended by most i think.
whould this be ok, or could annyone enlighten me more?
also any diy for installs, i found one for the boost/vacum(its for an evo but im sure its aplicable also to ralliart): https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=98114
but ill look into that sandwhich thing mentioned above

You definitely need a wideband.
It's a must have......reallly....oh and fuel pressure...yeah.
On a serious note though, unless you are racing your car, gauges are a waste for
NA.
Unless you just want them for the coolness factor.
