Did it today. Not a great deal hapened, it does warm up a tiny bit harder, but when it warms up the idle droped and the engine idles smoother.

SO here's my question, what are you guys noticing for difference in idle rpm? Anything significant?

I think I'll pass on doing this. Seems like too much trouble for no real gains.

Actually, the hp gains aren't what I'm interested in. This sounds like it's going to fix my rough idle, which is why I was asking for differences in idle rpm. I'm idling at 170+degrees at 500-600rpm, when cold 700-1000rpm. At the higher idle, with my semi- solid motor mounts (RRM), i idle smooth...when it drops at warmup, I start idling rough...

I'm going to do this mod as soon as my thermostat comes in (getting a 180degree one) and I do a coolant change. I'll post the differences.

ok, got the new thermostat in, did a coolant change with water wetter, and disconnected the TB coolant lines. NO change with idle RPM at all:-( total disappointment. TB heats up exactly the same (haven't taken any infrared measurements) based on idle performance at 160+ degrees> I did, however, notice a little bit more responsiveness at hitting the accelerator approaching WOT. *shrugs* not enough to blow me away, but enough to notice.

Still irritated this did nothing to my idle RPM. I'll be adjusting the TB next.

Quick question, has anyone noticed pulsating idle after this mod? Specifically when decelerating to a stop, and for about 30 seconds or so. Noticing about a 250rpm fluctuation. Nothing horrible, just annoying. Wondering if the ISCV is working overtime and having issues...
