Leatherette Seatcovers for the poor?

Now since this is asking about covers and not leather seats, ill give it its own thread.

Does anyone know where myself and the other lancer owners, who'd like leatherish seats but dont have the 2 grand or enviro condition to own them, can get some really nice custom fitted leatherette/whatever seat covers? Or does anyone know if there is someone who will eventually make them?

Or is this just really too cheap for anyone's taste?

If you want to get all technical, to get leather seats upholstered is basically getting your current seats "Covered" in leather... unless you were to buy all new seats (in which people would normally get light weight racing seats), i guess even getting leather seats would make your car a ricer huh?

Unless of course that is youre talking about those crappy wal-mart brand seat covers, in which case yes.. that is ricey. But i really dont think custom fitted leatherette ones would be ricey.. (basically poor mans leather seats, not much different?)

^Pre-made maybe! But I've seen custom rides on like TV say they got them done at Katskin... They'll do just about everything I'd think.

Since you're in Portland, go to any Shucks, Baxter, or GiJoes and ask for racing seat covers. You'll soon see rice my friend!

I dont know how much they went for but they look sweet. You cant really tell they are covers. You should tell me what you paid so I dont look like a jackass giving a way off guess.

They are custom made here in Puerto Rico. A set can be made and sent to CA and then you can either do your own install or pay to have someone esle do it. They just slide right over your own stock seats. I have to check and see if they have the pattern for the 07+ models though.

I frequent the shop alot, I have had a few sets made for friends in the states.
