if i was to gut my stock header what would happen?

if i was to gut my stock header and all would that do any thing performance wise instead of buying a new header? need feed back

well i gutted my stock header today. i have noticed just a little difference but not much. all i need now is to get the rest of my exhaust done and instal a turbo. whats the max boost you can run ?

On stock internals, from what i've heard, 10 psi is the absolute limit. My kit is goin on in a few weeks, and i'll be running 7-8 just to be safe, no need to go around throwing rods =P Good luck with your install!!!!

i'm curious... as far as "gut" goes... did you port it? smash out the cat? what exactly did you do. sooner rather than later you will probably end up throwing P0421.

He probably just hollowed the cat out. Porting a stock header is no easy task. But if you wanted to remove the cat all you need is a hammer and a metal rod to break it up.
