Great topic... am kinda working on the same thing....

I was at the dealership today couse I got my Navi off ebay.... anyways... I asked about the S-video and it is and s-video.... I went to the secret menu and if you check on there you will see it has a rear video display... so I guess you need to check the s-video cable or the monitor on somewhere the connection....

Pictures on the links are still down. Can OP please fix? I'd really like to see the placement of the camera as far as location goes....

Thanks in advance!

I was wondering if rear cam works on manual cars? how does the camera know when my car is in reverse when it's manual?

That's very cool. Do they have audio? Where can you buy them from?

Has anyone heard anything about initiating the S-Video output on the Nav Unit?

this is a sweet mod ... Compared to my old car, trying to see what I'm backing my GTS into is like trying to look around J-lo's booty while backing up... doesn't work very well...

I'm gonna have to run out and get me one of these cameras and start pulling my dash apart!

Hey, very nice write up and pics!
I'm just wondering where exactly did you drill the hole for the camera.
It will be great if you can post some rearview pics of you car so I can have a sense of how its look.
Thanks a lot!

EDIT - Don't worry about it man. I saw the pic. Sorry about that.
