Hey guys, I got my Lancer from Platnium Mitsubishi in Calgary about a month ago and mine came with a block heater. All the other dealers I checked out didn't have them and I have no idea why they wouldn't put one in.

Yeah I'm in Regina, and we got down close to -60 with the windchill at one point, but it still started for me ... When I asked the dealer about the block heater, they had told me it wasn't even an option to get one. If I remember correctly, they had said something about the block being aluminum and not needing it ... Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the block was aluminum, wouldn't that be more of a reason to put in a block heater?

Old thread, I know...

Anybody could tell me the exact location of the block heater on the engine? Pics would be great.

I'm thinking about adding one to my GTS and i'd like to do it myself instead of paying the dealer to install it...

Thanks!
