Do you guys know if anybody is currently working on a projector HID kit for our 08's ?
(projectors? thats how they're called right? lol)

(which in my opinion looks cheap and fake...with all due respect to those of you who installed HID kits lol)

Question : Do you guys think that we will be able to buy the HID's that come with the evo X from our dealers? it should fit on ours cars...

not that i know of yet. i called a couple of my distributors here in hawaii and also talked to the owners of import trendz and so far there is nothing in developement as of yet, or atleast when i last talked to them last month. the lancers projector lens will fit considering our lancers are supposed to be uni-body. and it should be direct plug in. as far as the hid part you prolly gotta order the harness which will prolly be another arm and leg to purchase from dealer so best bet would be get the evo headlights and order hid kit for the bulb size they use in that projector lenses

Its not standard. You need to get the SSS package for the GSR. It'll probably come in a similiar package for the Ralliart too. I believe its only standard on the MR but not 100% sure about that one.

 

True, it is only standard on the MR. ( I don't see why mitsubishi doesn't include xenon projectors as a standard thing...i mean COMON all mazda 3's have that..standard)

Yeah thats true. The HID's have to be bought as an accessory. I wish our Lancers atleast came with projector housings. Wouldve made HID upgrades a lot better.

 

i guess we would have to wait untill god forbid an evo x with sss gets rear ended and the headlights are saved...and we can try to fit it on the lancer.. i dont see why it wont work.. just might cost a lot of money...

 

It wont be just as simple as plug and play. it'll require a bit of extra wiring. Because on the Evo X, the DRL is on the high beam, not the low beam (HID's)

well the projectors that come on the evo are the same as the projectors that i have on my car, and in that case they come standard with HID for low and highbeam, and where you guys have your high beam light is a bulb that only goes on when you turn the steering wheel..

 

not trying to be an jack *** but i dont know what a buld is.. it might e bulb but the b is not close to the d... so i dont know... well i would rather have a projector hid than a hid... projectors look like heaven...
