Sunroof froze
Sunroof froze
So.. My sunroof decided to not close yesterday. It seems like something is stuck or it is off the track because it will start to close, then immediately go back to open. I tried to see if something is stuck but cant find anything. Rain is forcasted everyday until wed, so my dealer better be able to fix it today since they are closed on weekends. Every time i call, they say they are booked and i have to make an appointment so they better fit me in. For the time being, i have a trash bag and masking tape sealing it up. Masking tape isnt holding well, but I didnt want to use duct tape or packaging tape on this crappy paint job. Ill let u know how it goes. Im really worried they will grease up my light colored headliner with their dirty hands trying to fix it. That will give em something else to fix.
Wish you luck man! I've had a heck of a time with my 'ol Civic sunroof. Now, it starts to close and acts like it closes way early and totally scrapes up the paint on the driver's side roof. The paint job was just done a year ago! ARGH!
I just got back. All they said was that they reset it and now it works fine. Dont know what "reset" means, but it works now. They said that it happens when you cut the power in the middle of the cycle. Example. You turn your car off while its opening or closing. It took like an hour to get all of the glue from the masking tape off my roof, because the dealer just ripped the bag off.
