That looks like the similar bolt that holds the stock AB exhaust. I believe its a 14 millimeter bolt that requires a 3/8 socket drive. All you have to do is loosen the bolt. Once it gets loose enough, you have to make sure the bolt is lined up with the hole before loosening the bolt to a point where it completely removes. You might have to move around the header to get the bolt to clear both holes while loosening.

the thing is though i cant even fit a socket in there, much less an impact gun and when i get it in there it wont budge, and its a hell of a time to get back out.

I didn't even take the two pieces apart - I just removed the whole exhaust manifold with the short pipe attached to it (I had to take off my strut tower brace to fit it all through).

WHEW FREAKIN FINALLY! Thanks SVTong for the info. After getting my lazy self under the car to figure out what was going on, I spotted those two bolts. Also, having a buddy there with you during the install is necessary, and so is a jack and stands. BTW the header is awesome! I love the new header smell! RAWR! anyway, figured it out, love it, test run was 100%.
