hey.. i am using penzoil full synthetic on my car right now.. its it ok to switch to mobil 1 synthetic?? i heard you can't b/c of the different additives.. but is that just a myth??as long as it is synthetic i can use any brand?

 

Eww wtf dont use penzoil its the worst ask anyone who works at jiffy lube.. Yes its ok to switch if the viscosity's are the same your suppose to switch viscosity from winter to summer like 5w to 10 w. Anyways never use penzoil or lukes oils i took apart an old truck engine that the guy swore the lukes worked it just made a carbon case around the valve covers. I took them off and it was a black film like material from lukes dont use penzoil its ****ty.

 

seriously I wouldn't use Penzoil but if you are worried about it just change the oil then change it again 500 miles later. Since you can't get all the oil out of the cooler or block this is the best way to flush it. Btw my dealership parts guy has been giving me free oil filters so I use the mitsu filters.
