Question about Shift Knob on Automatic

does anyone know if its possible to replace the stock automatic shift knob with an aftermarket one? maybe even a how-to on taking that whole section of the car appart

It is possible I think, try twisting the knob. I don't have an auto so don't take my word for it.

If I remember correctly, there are some different ones at a Ralliart store in Japan. I think it was Blacksheep who asked a guy who was going there to bring one back for him. I can't remember his name or the thread though.

You will have to slide down the chrome plastic piece at the bottom of the shift knob.

No, but you CAN. All you HAVE to do is YANK.

Some aftermarket ones will work (the ones with the set screws that damage the shift rod WILL work). There are a couple JDM options, but they won't be cheap to get.

I'd agree. Wood grain can look nice, but not if the shift knob is the only part that has it.
