Hi, I just need help on replacing a brake light bulb on my 03 lancer oz rally tail light. I already opened my trunk and took out the carpet that covers the tail light from the inside. I don't see any available openings where I can insert the bulbs in? I only see a wire and 2 little openings but it doesn't look like i can stick the bulb or my finger in there? Any info and help would be appreciated

 

i think you're supposed to unscrew the whole tail light first and then pull out the bulb from the back. I THINK. i haven't changed my bulbs in a while...

 

My guess is it'd be similar to the newer model cause I'd see the same thing if I remove the carpet. You probably need to gently but firmly grip the housing from the outside and pull it out. There might be a clip holding onto it from inside the trunk as well. But I'm guessing once the tail light's pulled out, you'll be able to access the bulbs.

 

I thought you meant the light in the spoiler, as for the tail light, you need to remove the tail light from the screws. There is nothing to do with the carpet, remove them from the car, and replace the bulbs
