emblem removal and reinstallation

i just recently learned an awsome way to customize my emblems. anyone have any suggestions on how to remove them and put them back on?

Hot day, floss & goo gone. You'll need new adhesive to put back on.

after you remove your emblems let them soak for a minute in "goof off"..idk if you have ever heard of it. but its like the strongest remover ever created. use a rag and rub the inside of the emblem and the chrome paint should come off. and when your done the emblem should be nothing but the clear plastic. then you can paint the inside of it so that way it wouldnt scratch or anything opposed to if you were to paint the outside of it.

you can look for this 3m double side stick tape...i have some around here but i dont know the model number. either way, it has 80lbs/inch of shear force so it wont come off any time soon. it also dissolves with alcohol so if u ever want to take it off, it wont be a super pain.
