Help!!!
I am a noob and know nothing about cars and I would like to turbo charge my 09 lancer. I have no idea what to do or anything like that. I would also like to get a new exhaust and get a new intake for it. any suggestions about what I should do to make my car faster?
i hope you have a lot of money if u wanna turbo it
u gotta buy a whole TURBO KIT if u wanna do that. and that will run u around 4gs maybe more depending on the company(RRM sells turbo kit for our lancer)
intake i would go w/ INJEN cold air intake
and exhaust i am going to buy magnaflow bcuz its not too loud but if u want a louder want u can get vibrant or HKS

I would hold off on the turbo for now atleast. I don't think anybody has put one in an 08 or 09 lancer yet so I'm weary about what it will do to the engine or tranny. Wait till somebody else tries it first
I would suggest the Injen CAI or the K&N typhoon intake. I have the K&N and it is awesome. You can get an axle-back exhaust or a cat-back exhaust, depends on what you want. If u get an exhaust get new headers too. RRM has good ones. Good luck

Well first you should read more existing threads and try to get an idea. If you want to turbo your car, it depends on how deep your pockets are. $4000-5000 for a turbo kit + installation (IDK the exact cost). If you keep your car normally aspirated, you can put an intake, exhaust, headers etc but you shouldn't have high expectations, they will make a small difference.
Yeah the whole kit + install + tune will probably be upwards of 6,000$ or more.
Currently only Road Race Motorsports offers a turbo kit for purchase, however Xtremeboost's *should* be done soon.
There are threads regarding both if you look in the Forced Induction Forums.
Keep in mind, when you boost your car, most kits will come with their own intake system, so you don't need to worry about buying one with a turbo.
Also, the exhaust is designed differently for turbo cars. With N/A cars, your exhaust still needs back-pressure to maintain horsepower, while a turbo car's exhaust wants to be free flowing as possible. So I would suggest that if you do turbo the car, just take it to an exhaust shop and have a custom 3" turbo-back made, rather than getting one of the aftermarket axle-backs which were designed for the lancer being N/A.
At least, that's what I would do. Good luck!
