Does the Evo VIII/IX Crash Bar fit 02-06 Lancers

Hey I was thinking about the front crash bar I no longer have because of the intercooler on my setup. Does anyone know if the Evolution VIII or IX front crash bar/beam fits the 02-06 Lancers?

Good question, might work, but you'll probably have to mod it. Sounds like a good idea.

I would say the frame rails are about the same. It should slide in. Whether or not the bumper fits back over, now thats the question. I would say with some mods, it should work.

Well, you could take off the factory bumper and measure the non evo one. Maybe someone who has an evo here on the forums and is working on their evo with the bumper off, for whatever reason, might measure it for you if you ask really nicely.

You think you could get up under either yours and/or and evo and measure without taking anything off?

Well I dont even have mine anymore I doubt I'll be able to measure, it would be easier to just take one off and try it...

I could see it fitting the car but I would also have my reservations as to whether it would with the stock bumper.

I figure it will take some modding to fit. Since I plan to either keep the factory bumper or go cedia wagon style bumper, I'll be keeping my bar. I would also like space for an intercooler.
