Hello, it is not recommended to install the large spoiler on a non EVO. The Trunk on the EVO is stronger. So, its impossible but you may end up with problems. Regarding the trunk lid for Lancer with Small Spoiler, it does not contain the trunk lid reinforce panels, corner outer & inner. So, when you install the Large Spoiler for these trunk panels, the panels are unable to support the increase of weight and aerodynamic effect of Large Spoiler.

*The weight of spoiler :Small Spoiler (2,900g)
Large Spoiler (6,470g)


Guys pls comments if any has notice if the EVO X trunk is heavier than the Lancer trunk

 

that guys on crack i have the evo x spoiler on my lancer for many months.

no problems what so ever =)

 

I have had mine on for a year now and no problems, the trunks are the samething. The reg lancer trunk even has the 3ed hole for the spoiler

 

Anyone have install tips for installing this spoiler?

 

trunks are the same. i have the CF evo x on my lancer and it fits beautifully. however the center brake light took some modification to get in there are screwed on. that was a pain. but other then that the trunks are the same as with the bolt patterns.

 

well i have an evo x gsr with the small wing, so let me get this straight, i used the two holes i already have drilled out for the stock spoiler and drill 2 more that are already templated out on the truck?
