good question, isnt like the battery or some fuild tank just behind the seat which would impede any pass-through cargo anyways

The battery and washer fluid are located behind the back seat. If you want your seats to fold down, you'll have to find somewhere else to put the battery and fluid. There's not a lot of room to work with so that's likely not going to happen.

They should fit. Here are the diagrams side by side. Lancer on the left, evo on the right.

The main mounting points and hardware look the same. It looks like you will need a few extra braces and bolts because this is a split design but they should be included with the rear seat assembly.

As far as the battery and the washer fluid are concerned, the will eventually make it harder for you to load stuff in the car but they should not interfere with the seat installation because they're located in the trunk.
Anyway this is just an observation and i can't guarantee anything.

thanks for the post it made me realize something i knew already. I knew the seats in the x didnt fold down but i didnt do the 1 + 1 =2 when it came to me wanting to put evo x rear seats to match my recaros up front. since the evo x seats dont fold down i think im happy with the mismatched fabric in the center of the rear seat.

oh no! i dont mind the recaros at all they are typically pushed back too far that no one can sit in the back seat anyway. its just me and my fiance in the car usually if anyone needs to ride in the back they can sit on slightly mismatched fabric

buy an intake so theres more room under the hood, then relocate the battery to under the hood and cut that half of the plastic out of the way. That's honestly what I would do.
