Sup, new to this site planning to get my window tinted soon. It mostly owe preference about the best film but just want to know what would look clean on a blue 2008 lancer GTS. I know of a couple of brands: Huper Optik Ceramic, Solargard Ultra Performance,Llumar and Suntek carbon ....... 30% front, 20% back 15% rear is what i want. Im searching for the best quality film. It all depends on what shop you go to. Most places have the brands they use and that is what you are going to get regardless. Some shops will bring in other products at the customers request and then there are other shops that just have a huge selection of tinting films(colors, grades, fade resistance, warranty life. I'm not sure if you guys have Custom Sounds where you are but they are the best place to go for Tinting in St. Louis.

I would not worry the most about the actual brand of tint as most brands are fairly equal. What I would worry about the most is the quality of the work that the shop is performing. Some shops take pride in the work and will not let cars go out of the shop with imperfections.

llumar tint is the best "quality" tint around and is the most resistant to purpling or changing color. quality and pride in work is also very important but i would search for a place that does llumar. i had mine done 30% all around, computer cut, llumar tint all for 165. just to give you a basis to go off of. gl man

heres mine with Llumar 30% front 15% rears, just so you have something to go off of. this is the best pic i currently have of it too...

i really want 5s all around, or a least 15 all around. IMO, no matter what the car is, the same percentage tint looks good all around.

and i know i need a drop!!!! haha

Nice!!!! that super clean...maybe i go 20%front 15% in back and 10 in rear. i wanted dark enough to not see inside. Ayo, i heard you can tint you tail light or something. Have you heard of any information about tinted tail light or is the only way is to converted it into the ralliart light. I think the Ralliart light costs about 750. That is way tooo much money for me right now.

ralliart lights are anywhere from 350-400 depending what website you are on. Mitsubishiparts.net and RRM are 2 places that I know sell the lights...and for much less than 750.

3M makes the best products in the industry hands down. Being an installer for 8 Years I can say this with backup if needed.
