ok i read about 30 threads on the recalls. i have an 03 oz rally. this ecu reflash recall does anyone know if that would cause me to not pass emmisions cause i have no CEL on but im getting not ready for 02 and catylyst system. ive replaced both o2 sensors and put a brand new cat on any answers would be great. ive failed emissions 4 times now

 

Did you have a CEL before? If you did, I don't know if it would matter since you don't have a CEL now, but did you reset your ECU by unplugging the battery.

 

i actually never did the recall yet i was wondering if i had it done will that fix my monitor problems for those 2 things

 

i had mine flashed when i bought my oz back in 07... i never had any issue with emmisions with my oz....

failed 4 times... word of advise, take it to a gold sheild repair shop.. dont know what its called in your state but out here in cali gold sheild repair shops are authorized smogg repair facilitys.. they will fix it right the first time.. i had a similar issue like yours but on my old 94 probe gt...

how many milles are on your car? are plugs in good condition? theirs ptolly alot of other things can can make it fail smogg.. to save some trouble, do what i did and take it to a shop thats certified....

how bad were you over the level limit on emmisions?

 

im not over any limits my monitoring system will not say read i have no CEL i put a brand new cat new o2 sensors and last year did the plugs wires and coil packs . i dont know why the system wont say ready. its like they are not hooked up
